Hair Waxing Tips - 6 ways to make waxing a good experience

If you've decided that waxing is the best way for you to remove your unwanted body hair, then there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind so that you have a pleasant experience. Waxing is not for everyone. So here are a few hair waxing tips to help you make the decision or minimize the side effects:

Use a kit to keep the burn down

It's easy to overheat the wax and burn yourself. Not an especially fun experience if you're removing hair along the bikini line. One way to avoid burning yourself is to get a microwave kit that allows you to control the temperature.

Testing is everything

As everyone is different, you want to make sure you are not allergic or extra sensitive to the wax. Make sure to test a small area first so that you don't have a painful experience. This is especially important if you are doing the bikini line.

Clean works better

Plan on waxing right after you get out of the shower. Your skin will be super clean and the wax will stick better.

Get rid of the wax remains

After waxing, a nice soap and warm water will remove any bits of wax that might be sticking. Pat the area dry and use a powder to remove any stickiness.

Deodorants for bump prevention

Did you know that rolling on a natural deodorant right after waxing will keep the bumps down? However, don't use an anti-perspirant because of the aluminum and other chemicals - especially on the bikini line. You'll want to use natural products that will minimize possible irritation.

Loofah for ingrown hair prevention

Use a loofah to clean the areas you've waxed. This will keep any ingrown hair problems down. Wait at least 48 hours after waxing before using a loofah, however, so that you don't irritate the area.

Summary

Waxing can be a great way to remove unwanted hair, especially when you're on vacation. Use these hair waxing tips to have a great experience each and every time.

Indoor Tanning - Keys To Looking Your Best

As summer approaches many women dream of improving their appearance by achieving the sun kissed glow of a tan. During the spring, the sun is usually not powerful enough for tanners to achieve their desired look, so many people turn to indoor tanning as a method to achieve immediate results.

Although indoor tanning can leave your skin looking radiant and healthy, it is not without its dangers. There are many precautions that you must take in order to achieve a tan without the side effects of rashes, blisters or even direct sunburn. Frequenting a salon with a knowledgeable and certified staff will ensure that you receive all of the recommended tanning tips about how to protect your skin.

The most important tanning advice that you will receive involves the importance of gradually building up a base tan before you go on a vacation or begin an extensive tanning regiment. The exposure of ultra violet light causes your skin to produce extra amounts of melanin. The extra melanin surrounds the core of your skin cells providing extra protection against the harmful rays of the sun. If you do not build up your base tan sunburn is much more likely to occur.

Tanning professionals offer several tips for achieving a great base tan without getting burned. Certified staff members will always stress the need for protective tanning lotion. A good lotion will help your skin to absorb ultra violet rays which will aid in the tanning process. Since the skin tends to dry out during tanning process the extra moisture is needed. It is best to apply the lotion directly before the beginning of your session.

Indoor tanning professionals will also recommend that you start to achieve your base tan conservatively. In the beginning tanning sessions should not be scheduled less than 48 hours apart and the time spend in the tanning bed should be kept to a minimum. If the skin burns during this initial process, you must wait until the burn heals and then start building your base tan all over again.

If done carefully and conservatively, building a base tan will help you to maintain a beautiful and healthy looking tan. A base tan will help to protect your skin from harmful rays and will also prolong the life of your tan. With careful planning everyone can achieve a sun kissed glow!

Don't panic when the temperature rises

Many plus size women start to panic when the temperature starts rising and the sun starts shining. Summertime means less clothes around the body that can camouflage some parts you don't want to be exposed.

Good news, ladies, you don't have to hide anymore, plus size swimsuits are widely available now in all different shapes and styles. Not only you can find plus size swimsuits that fit you, you can actually look great too. Manufacturers of plus size swimsuits design their bathing suits in a way that they smooth and flatter curves and, at the same time, offer you some modesty.

Many different swimsuits have a skirt or a short, covering wide hips or bottoms, while the tops camouflage the mid-drift area. These two piece swimsuits, which are called shortinis and skirtinis are therefore very functional and can be seen on many beaches.

One of the bigger advantages of two piece swimwear is that they can easily being combined with each other creating different looks and combinations. Also, many plus size women find it more comfortable to stroll along the boulevard or visiting a snack bar or supermarket wearing a short or skirt. Sometimes you can even see women wearing their tops on a sightseeing tour or a night out. It becomes a fashion item.

Of course there are women who prefer the traditional one piece swimsuit. And there is good news for them also: more and more different styles and shapes are available. Manufacturers experiment with different colors and patterns not only creating an exotic assortment but also create slimming effects.

One piece swimsuits can be wear with confidence too. Very popular are the swim dresses and the sarongs, draped around the front to cover tummy bumps and wide hips and in the meantime giving the main body a slim line. And because of the wider variety and the higher competition, cheap plus size swimsuits aren't difficult to find.

Mineral Make Up: The Natural Path To Beauty

There is an ever increasing demand for mineral make ups which are created from powdered minerals that are harvested from the ground. They are organic, without any added dye, scent, or preservative such as you usually find in traditional commercial cosmetics. Women have a number of motivations for preferring mineral make up to traditional cosmetics.

Regular commercially manufactured make up produce reaction on women having sensitive skin. The reactions may range from severe ones such as hives and itching, to lesser reactions like over drying of the skin or increase in acne. If make up is used without the irritating ingredients, women have softer and better looking skin.

The most famous among the various types of mineral make up is the finely ground powder for the face. A brush can be used easily on it and does not make the skin look wrinkled. It is different when sheer cover mineral foundation is used when compared to regular, non-mineral foundations. The sheer cover mineral foundation does not make the person feel heavy on the face or bear dark make up lines on the skin.

Other varieties of all natural make up exists, which has eye shadows and lipsticks containing all natural ingredients to give color to the make up. Even women those who do not have sensitive skin use make up that has the bare essentials makeup.

The use of mineral make up is not really a brand new idea. It is known that women of ancient Egypt used makeup in a ground form from unique minerals that would protect their eyes from the harsh sun in the desert. It is the reflective properties that made this product beneficial to the people who used them.

The shift to organic cosmetics is not just due to a desire for healthier skin. Women who are expecting, for instance, are more concerned than ever about whether anything they eat or apply to their bodies might adversely affect their unborn babies. With the use of completely natural cosmetics, there is just one less thing for these women to worry about.

How to choose jewellery (wedding or prom)

Matching earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets will look far too overdone. Choose only two of the wedding / prom accessories. If you are wearing a heavily detailed dress then only choose one piece and make sure that it is a plain piece.

Choose a necklace according to your wedding / prom dress

V-neck or sweat-heart dress – a strand of beads or pearls is best for these necklines.

The necklace should fall about half-way between the base of the neck and the point of the V or heart.

Strapless dress – a strapless dress looks lovely with a choker. If wearing a long necklace, make sure that it is short and does not meet the dress fabric.

Oval face – avoid tiaras with a peak at the top as this will make your face look even longer. A lower tiara, headband or back piece will be most flattering.

High necked or intricately beaded dress – a necklace of any sort would only compete with this type of dress, so do not wear one. Instead choose a matching bracelet and earrings.

Choose earrings according to your hairstyle

Upswept hair or a long neck – wear simple elegant drop earrings that will move and twist and catch the light. A long slender neck also suits chandelier earrings.

Hair down or a short neck – small pearl or diamond earrings will be more flattering than drop earrings.
