Simple guidelines to help you choose the right bra size.

Is Your Bra the Wrong Size? Let me help you to a perfect fitting bra

You spend so much time following fashion trends. You want to look great in the outfits you buy. I know I do. But aren’t you forgetting a big part of the picture? What about what’s under all these lovely fashions? That’s right, your lingerie. Because if what’s underneath isn’t right your outfit just won’t look right.

There is something special about those intimate outfits. Your bra and panties, those sexy dainty pieces of cloths you have on, that normally no one sees. Your breasts are being supported. The under wire lightly padded bra gives you a D cup size look, that you have always wanted. That G string feels so sexy. The materials are so sheer, you can’t even tell you are wearing them under your outfit.

You feel sexy. You know you are looking good. You feel confident. All those feeling just emanate from your personality. That just makes your outfit look 110% better.
How do you get that extra edge in life? You’ve heard of the saying, “Dress for success.” Well here is where you start.
Perfect Fit Checklist

Let's face it, do we really know what a good fitting bra looks like? What are the signs that a bra is the wrong size? Well, let us help. Here is a checklist of what to look for.

Smooth fitting cups: If you don't fill out the cups, you need a smaller size. If you are "overflowing" in the cups, try a larger cup size or a style with a fuller cup design.

The edges of the cups should also lie flat against your breast. If there is a gap (especially with padded bras), you should go down a cup size.

Center panel lays flat against your breast bone: If it does not, this could be a sign that your cup size is too small, or the panel is not large enough to accommodate the separation between your breasts.

The bottom of the bra in the front and back is parallel to the floor or slightly lower in the back: The lower edge of the band should anchor below the shoulder blades. The lower the back fits, the better the support.

A finger can be run under the front band: Your bra should be snug, but not too tight. If it's tight, you need a larger band size or a looser hook placement.

Still not the perfect fit? Consider an alteration. We alter our clothes for a better fit, why not a bra? One woman in our office really measures to a 35 band size. She therefore buys a 36D and has a dart put in at the sides.

Now that you understand how to fit your bra, your on your way to looking and feeling GREAT!
Have a look at the Tatiana designer bra and pantie sets. You will find a wonderful selection.

Skin Care Tips for Natural Glow

Beauty is one of the most predominant factors affecting your personality and confidence. But going to beauty parlors is not the only way of maintaining oneself. There are some effective natural beauty tips that may help you to make your skin happy and healthy.

• Fruits and vegetables that are a good source of vitamins and minerals should be included in your meals as they also provide roughage that helps relieve constipation. Drumsticks, French beans, jackfruits, grapes, figs, peaches, phalsa and guava are some such sources.

• Diet should be rich in carbohydrate and proteins but with dietary fibre such as barley and maize, wheat flour (whole), rajmah and dry peas.

• Sugar should be restricted to limited amounts. High carbohydrate foods such as breads, cakes, cookies, dry fruits, honey, jams, syrups, potatoes, rich puddings and sweet potatoes should be avoided to prevent obesity.

• Bulking agents like Isabgul are rich in fibre, adding bulk to the diet and reducing the total food intake. This also reduces the total calorie intake.

• Take grapes and carrot both equal in weight. Clean and grate them along with peels. Eat about 200 gm of this mixture on an empty stomach in the morning with a free mind. Do not take anything for two hours after this. This will increase energy and vigor and reduce fat. It cleans and purifies blood, makes the face bright, fair and beautiful. Grated apples and carrots can also be taken after lunch. This helps in increasing weight and relieving weakness.

• The diet should be rich in iron, having Indian gooseberry, spinach, gur, all pulses, horsegram, soyabean, mustard leaves, radish leaves, turnip, apricots, dates, watermelon, peaches, pineapple, banana and egg yolk etc. These provide a glow to the face.

Natural Remedies for Dull Skin

• Raw milk is a natural skin cleanser.
• Limestone again is a natural healer.
• Limejuice mixed with sugar can be rubbed on dark zones of the body.
• A slice of cucumber on your eyes provides instant relief from lethargy.

Facial Skin Care Tips and Remedies

As far as new technology is concern, many people undergo the process just to look younger and to look beautiful. Mostly, they do that is their faces. As we grow old, wrinkles, dark spots and blemishes start to rule our faces. That is the reason why facial skin care products were designed to reduce the visible signs of aging and improve the health and beauty of the skin.

It is true what that beauty is only skin deep, so it is just right to do what feels right for you. With the huge advances made in skincare products today , most of us still prefer taking the less invasive way.

Here are some facial skin care tips and remedies that will help enhance the skin’s appearance at any age without the help of needles and knives.

At the age of 20’s, the skin is at its peak of beauty in your twenties, however nurtures its beauty and always use at least an SPF 30 sunscreen. Just continue using that at any age. Try to stay away from oily makeup and cover-ups. If possible use an oil free moisturizer every day. By this age using an eye cream under the eye area especially at night is also a good idea. Use products that contain green tea which have shown to help reduce the risk of skin cancer.

If you reach your 30’s, it is when the skin becomes a bit drier and sun damage may begin to appear. Start using thicker moisturizing creams so as to lock in high contents of moisture. Just continue using with eye creams at night and use sunscreen too. Skin bleaching products may need to be used to diminish dark spots from sun damage. It is good to put your moisturizer on over damp skin. This helps lock in more moisture.

It’s time to kick it up another notch when you reach your 40’s. It is when your skin loses much of it tightness. This s when your skin may begin to look dull and your pores may become larger. Then the blotches, freckles, age spots, discoloration, and changes in skin color may become much more visible.

With this, the retinoids, anti-oxidants and alpha hydroxy acids can improve the look of your skin and your 40’s would be a good time to begin using them. It is still essential that you continue using a thick moisturizer and eye serums on a daily basis. Home microdermabrasion kits are also an option that can result in a smoother more even appearing skin texture and tone while rejuvenating your skin’s texture and color.

At the age of 50’s, the changes in your skin have reached high gear. That is the time where menopause has assisted in the loss of Estrogen which is what has given your skin its elasticity and kept it hydrated, however since those estrogen levels have diminished, you will begin seeing wrinkles form around your eyes, drooping eyelids and expression lines around the mouth and forehead.

Try to begin using anti-aging or wrinkle reducing formulas such as vitamin A (Retinol) or Glycolic acid products. Retin A has proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin texture, skin tone and color, as well as your skin’s hydration levels. Glycolic acid will trigger new formation of collagen to plump cells and reduce wrinkles on the skin’s surface. Postmenopausal women can also use a cream containing progesterone that may improve skin elasticity and firmness.

There is always a way or even ways to get away with skin ageing. Surgery is never always an answer to that. Always put in mind that you can still manage to stay beautiful and have that flawless skin using facial skin care products and remedies.

7 Truths About Teeth Whiteners

It seems like everybody today wants to have white teeth, including myself. I guess everybody wants to have that Hollywood superstar smile. The other day I went to a pharmacy in my neighborhood and looked at the whitening products that were available. I was amazed! There were so many available I didn’t know what to choose. They all claimed that they could give me white teeth and a bright smile. I wanted to know what I should buy so I did extensive research and discovered the truth about teeth whitening.

I want to share some of those truths with you here:

1. Too much of a good thing can definitely be bad.

Teeth whitening products are great if you use them occasionally, but if you use them too much you can damage your teeth. People who overuse whitening products can develop what is called “blue teeth”. This happens when your teeth are bleached so much that they become somewhat transparent with a blue tinge. To avoid this I would suggest using a full dose of whitening at first and then only use a touch-up dose once a month after that. If you don’t develop any more stains, then don’t feel like you have to use more.

2. Teeth whitening regulation.

Contrary to popular belief teeth whitening products are actually not regulated by the FDA. Actually they’re not regulated by any government agency. Some products will claim some kind of FDA approval, but this is misleading. Watch out for teeth whitening products that have to use misleading information to sell their products.

3. If you have stains that were caused by antibiotics such as tetracycline, teeth whiteners won't be able to remove them. The chemical composition of the stains aren’t affected by the teeth whitening agents.

4. Calcium is key.

When you’re looking for a teeth whitening product be sure to check if it has “free” calcium. Teeth whiteners with “free” calcium in them can actually strengthen your teeth while they whiten. They also tend to have less sensitivity problems.

5. Are you too old for white teeth?

Probably not, but it has been shown that younger people tend to return to their natural whiteness quicker. So, if you’re young at heart or have a lot of discoloration then you may have to use the teeth whitening product longer.

6. Mismatched teeth.

One thing to be aware of when you whiten your teeth is that dental work such as crowns, veneers and bridges will most likely not be affected by tooth whiteners. So, you may end up with different colored teeth. I would suggest using teeth whiteners in shorter durations in order to match your teeth with your dental work.

7. How white is too white?

If you are using an over-the-counter teeth whitening product it is important to know when you should stop. Many people become addicted to teeth whitening and end up with transparent and highly sensitive teeth. Professionals tend to agree that when your teeth match the whites of your eyes you should stop. When you decide that you want to whiten your teeth, it’s important that you do a little research. If you just go to the store and pick up whatever, you may be wasting your money on an ineffective product or worse paying for a product that causes you a lot of pain.

Drink Green Tea for a Gorgeous New You

You probably already knew that drinking green tea has plenty of health benefits—but did you know that it can make you gorgeous, too?

Okay, I might be spreading it on a little thick there. The truth is that green tea isn’t going to miraculously turn you from an ugly duckling to a supermodel overnight. But it can do these things:

• It helps your gums stay healthy so your teeth don’t fall out.

• It prevents cavities and bad breath.

• It helps you look young by smoothing out your wrinkles and by reducing damage to your skin from UV rays.

• And it helps you lose weight.

Now, lest you think these things aren’t important, think about this: when was the last time you saw an overweight person with black teeth, missing teeth, wrinkles, and bad breath, and thought, “Man, they’re HOT!”

I think I’ve made my point.

It’s all true, though, I’m not making this up. It turns out that humble old green tea can do all kinds of wonderful things for you to help keep you beautiful.

Here are some of the things that green tea researchers have found:

• Acids and bacteria in your mouth are the main causes of periodontal disease (soft, bleeding gums). Green tea contains “catechins.” Catechins keep the acids in check and they prevent the bacteria from reproducing. The result: your gums stay nice and healthy and pink, and your teeth stay in.

• Cavities and bad breath are caused by the same things (acids and bacteria)... So the catechins in green tea fight cavities and bad breath, as well.

• The Vitamin C in green tea helps your gums heal.

• Catechins aren’t just for killing bacteria and getting rid of acids. They also reactivate dying skin cells! That makes them very good for smoothing out wrinkles.

• Green tea contains anti-oxidants (cancer-fighters) that reduce the damage that the UV light in normal sunlight does to your skin. This slows down the aging process and helps you look younger, longer.

• Finally, if you’re like 2/3 of people in “modern” society, you’re concerned about your weight. Well, green tea can help you keep it under control. It’s those darned catechins, again. They help decrease body fat and speed up fat oxidation. Studies also show that the theanine and caffeine in green tea combine to help keep your body from making more body fat.

Of course, you have to use common sense with this. You can’t suck on lollipops all day long and drink a cup of green tea and expect it to protect you from cavities. Likewise, you can’t eat a steady diet of doughnuts and pork products and just drink a cup of green tea and expect to not get fat.

The best way to go is to take care of yourself by eating right, exercising, brushing your teeth... Yada, yada, you’ve heard this all before. But you might want to add a new habit to all of that.

You can start drinking green tea every day. A little green tea drinking session can be your you-time. Your time to relax. Your time to refresh yourself. Not only will it help you stay sane, but it may help you stay beautiful.

Nobody Wants To Be Old And Wrinkled

No matter how many times you tell a woman that beauty is only skin deep, she will always find ways to stay young and beautiful. The will to look young and beautiful normally emerges as fine lines and wrinkles start to appear.

These are the most common signs of aging. You don’t have to be a horror fan to realize that fine lines and wrinkles always strike fear in the hearts of women who don’t want to be old and wrinkled. Yet these are an unavoidable part of the aging process. As we grow older, our skin becomes drier and less elastic. Most people begin to develop fine lines and wrinkles by the age of 30 or 35.

Some people in their 20s have little wrinkles around their eyes called "crow's feet” from squinting or spending too much time in the sun. Other people may be in their 50s or 60s before you can even see a wrinkle. This is usually because they have taken good care of their skin over the years and may have more sebum, the skin's natural oil.

They may also have good genes which mean that their family members don't have many wrinkles. Eventually, however, everyone will have at least a few wrinkles.

Two main factors in the development of wrinkles are sun exposure and smoking. While we can’t reverse every possible cause of wrinkling, there are steps we can take to minimize the aging process.

First, avoid excessive sun exposure, including sun lamps and tanning beds. Ultraviolet exposure is greatest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sun exposure promotes the formation of deep wrinkles and furrows along with changes in pigment and skin texture.

Sun lovers need to be extra careful because facts show that overexposure to sunlight greatly harms skin issues. Once the damage has been done, it takes a long time for skin to regain its healthy vibrant glow. To avoid this, use sunscreens in combination with other sun-protective measures.

Quit smoking since this not only increases wrinkles around the mouth but also places you at a higher risk for skin cancer.

There are many readily available treatments for fine lines and wrinkles but choosing the right one is important if you want results. Lumnaderm is a popular product that can help decrease the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

How To Choose The Right Breast Implant

If you are thinking about breast augmentation, you need to consider that the breast implants you want should be the correct size for your body not the size you think you should have. They should provide you with a desirable look and feel without taking away from the correct natural appearance of the breast. After all, you want your new breasts to naturally enhance your body, not to be an add-on feature.

Women who are considering a breast augmentation are often ready to go with the largest size they can get. This is not a good idea. Having a breast implant that is too large will give your body an unnatural look to it. You want to choose a breast size that will give you an enhancement to your existing shape. When you accomplish this, you will feel more beautiful and get an unexpected and wonderful boost to your self-esteem.

One easy way for you to decide on the right breast size for your body is to try one of the bra implant sizing systems. This provides you with a bra and different sized implants to insert. These systems will show you the right way to use the bra and also how to use the ruler and implant testers to gauge what size you prefer. You can use each of the sizes for a few days to see if it is correct for you.

The next step is to talk with a plastic surgeon who specializes in breast surgery. Most of the time, the first visit to the cosmetic surgery clinic will cost you nothing if you are only going for information. This first visit will give you a better idea of what the procedure will consist of, and you can have any questions answered at that time.

The surgeon will be able to look at your body shape and size and then help you with the correct size of implant. Since you have a general idea of the size you prefer from using the bra system, you will be able to give him or her a starting point on what you want. They will be able to give you the best advice on what size will not only fill out your body better but which one is best for you personally.

You should look for a plastic surgeon and office staff who are sensitive, informative, and honest about the benefits and risks of this surgery. Throughout the entire process, you will want a more conscientious and caring office. This supportive environment is helpful when making these big decisions.

Breast enhancement can bring about changes in your self-assurance and body image. You should carefully consider the breast implant surgery and what it can do for you and your personal outlook. Your expectations will give you an idea of the questions you should ask and any other information you need to make the right choice for breast implant surgery

The Best Dry Skin Care Product For Your Skin

Treating dry skin does not have to be a mystery. To take care of your condition permanently you must first determine what is causing your skin to dry out and then buy the right products to address the issue. Early intervention and consistency is key, so be sure to stick to your skin care routine at all costs. Doing so will not only cure dry skin, it will prevent it from occurring in the first place.
Before we look at the products for dry skin, let’s look at some reasons why your skin could be lacking in moisture. It is only after you have a good idea of what is causing your dry skin that you can actually formulate a plan to cure it. Here are a few of the major causes of itchy, flaky skin:
* Medical condition – There are several medical conditions that can cause dry skin. Some of these conditions include Thyroid disease, Hodgkin’s disease, diabetes and liver failure. In order to treat a skin condition when a medical cause is present, you should first address the medical issue. In many cases, controlling the medical concern is enough to bring the skin back into balance. If not, you may want to consider hydrating your skin with the skin care products mentioned below.
* Dehydration – Did you know that the majority of people are dehydrated and do not even know it? To stay fully hydrated, you must drink 8 to 10 glasses of water each day. This number increases dramatically if you are physically active or if the weather is extremely hot. Remember; your skin is hydrated internally. If your body lacks the water to do this, your skin will suffer and become dry.
* Weather – Cold and harsh weather can zap the moisture right out of your skin. You may also experience dry skin during the winter months due to your heating system. Be sure to cover all exposed skin before going outdoors and use a humidifier inside your home.
* Bathing – Hot water and soap all work to remove dirt, debris and oil from your skin. The only problem is that bathing also removes the oil that is responsible for keeping moisture in your skin. To reduce the effect that bathing has on your dry skin, bathe in tepid water and use moisturizers afterward.
* Medications – Certain medications and medical treatments can result in dry skin. Be sure to talk to your doctor about the possibility of this. He or she may be able to give you some pointers on how to counteract this side effect of treatment.

The Most Popular Dry Skin Products

Once you know what is causing your dry skin, it is time to find a product to hydrate it. There are many products out on the market so it can be a little confusing to choose the right ones for your needs. Here is a brief guide to help you out:
* Basic lotions – Basic lotions are ideal for use after showering or several times throughout the day. They are not good for chronic dry skin conditions or for spot treatments.
* Silicone lotions – These lotions are great for the hands and feet. They protect the skin against the elements by forming a silicone layer. This is ideal for people who have to wash their hands a lot.
* Body butter – Body butter is an intense moisturizing cream that is best used for dry skin spots or as a weekly treatment. You can use this intense treatment on tough spots throughout the day, but you should avoid applying it to the rest of your skin on a regular basis as it can cause greasiness.
* Medicated creams – Are used by people who have a recurring dry skin condition that will not heal. These creams are most often used by diabetics who are facing several skin issues including infection.
Curing dry skin is easily done if you know which products to use. If you use the wrong products, you will likely not get the results that you desire. Keep in mind that what works for your friend may not work for you. Everyone has different skin and each skin type requires a different kind of treatment.
Sometimes, the best way to find the perfect products is through trial and error. Take advantage of trial offers, and if a product does not cure your dry skin, do not hesitate to return it for a refund or exchange.

How to Get Rid of Puffy Eyes

It’s six o’clock in the morning and you have to get ready for work. One look in the mirror makes you want to cringe. Your eyes look like you’ve just gone a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson. Yes, you have puffy eyes. The question is what do you do about it? Here are a few suggestions to help you deal with this early morning horror.

1. Know the causes

Investigate why your eyes are puffy in the first place. There are several reasons why your eye area could be retaining fluid. Allergies are a common cause of puffy eyes. Dust or other irritants could cause flare-ups that swell the eyes. Stress can also cause problems with your eyes. Physical manifestations are common among individuals experiencing high levels of stress in their lives. Crying is a cause of puffy eye syndrome, too. Fluid is also retained when the intake of sodium (salt) is higher than normal.

2. Try caffeine

After your morning tea, save those tea bags. Caffeine is a natural diuretic, meaning that it pulls fluid out of your system. Caffeinated tea bags can be used to help alleviate the puffy eye syndrome. First, cool down the tea bags by placing them in a cup of cold water. Warm tea bags will increase the flow of blood to the area which may increase the swelling, instead of decreasing it. Once the bags are sufficiently cooled, place them over each closed eye. Relax for about five to ten minutes. Remove the tea bags and examine your eyes. The puffiness should diminish. If the result is not to your liking, re-cool the tea bags and apply to your eyes again.

3. Cool as a cucumber

Cucumbers are not just for salads anymore. They make good cold compresses for the eyes. Take a chilled cucumber from the fridge and slice it into thin circles. If the slices are too thick they will not lay properly over the eyes. Let the cool slices rest on your eyes for about five minutes. Re-apply new slices as needed.

4. Drink more water

If puffy eye syndrome is more than an occasional occurrence, maybe your body is trying to tell you something. The body retains water when there is precious little available in your system. Increasing your water intake will give the body ample fluid for cellular function and it will not need to store extra water. Drinking lots of water will keep the incidence of puffy eyes to a minimum.Puffy morning eyes are annoying, but they can be treated. To avoid them in the long run, lower your salt intake, drink plenty of water, and use allergy eye drops if irritants are the cause of eye puffiness.

How to Get Rid of Blackheads

Even people who do not have the misfortune of getting acne or pimples sometimes had to deal with black heads. How to get rid of black heads is a question that gets asked a lot. Depending on your skin tone and your situation there can be a lot of different answers but generally there are a few tips you can follow regardless of your skin condition that will help you eliminate black heads. Black heads do not discriminate based on age; you can get blackheads as an adolescent as well as an adult. Unfortunately, this can be a continual problem that few people know how to deal with.

Here are some 6 tips will help you with your question of how to get rid of black heads.

1. Change your pillow case as often as possible, oil can build up on your pillow and while you are sleeping can get on your face. If you remember to change your pillow case once every night or every two to three days this will help alleviate any issues if you have a black heads.

2. When you're taking a shower close all the doors and turn the shower water on as hot as you possibly can stand it. The steam will help open up the pores and can loosen the black head. This can also be accomplished by buying a facial steamer which is specifically made to open up facial pores.

3. Wash your face twice daily, any more than that and you run the risk of replacing the oil on your face that is caused by your skin drying out. Always make sure that you wash before you go to bed with a gentle soap.

4. Try to avoid eating any junk food, although it's never been proven that certain foods will cause acne and blackheads certain foods will increase the probability that you will get acne and blackheads. Oily Skin Care

Whether a teenager or an adult, oily skin has been the curse of many people just like you. None likes to have that greasy feeling and the dirt that gathers on your face, not to mention the shine that makes you flinch at the idea of flash photography. But need to worry, as there are simple solutions available for these problems.

Causes Of Oily Skin

The main causes for oily skin are the overactive oil glands that produce the substance, sebum, which is a natural skin lubricant and moisturizer. As too much sebum accumulates, it becomes thick and heavy in texture making it feel greasy.
If the oily skin is left untreated, it becomes the basis of pimples, excessive shine and blemishes.

Advantages Of Oily Skin

There exists a good one as well. Oily skin tends to be less likely to show wrinkles and other signs of aging compared to other skin types. The oil keeps more moisture in the skin making it more flexible and elastic, which indeed leads to less wrinkling.

So while you may worry and moan about your oily skin, you will look 10 to 15 yrs younger, if proper oily skin care is given today. But if the oily skin is left untreated, it leads to clogged pores, blackheads, and buildup of dead skin cells.

This will make it difficult to have clear healthy skin. It also causes a sallow-looking complexion and makes having large, visible pores very likely.

Oily Skin Treatment

As if now there is no quick-fix solution to treat oily skin successfully. As you are addressing not a surface problem but one that is inside your body, patience is your best tool. Success may take some time to achieve success in oily skin treatment.

Where as in some cases, may need professional medical attention. And in most cases, the condition is simply put under control and never totally treated. Even then, the condition of the oily skin will improve and the objective to not have greasy shiny skin will be closer than ever.

Get Rid Of The Excess Sebum

While treating oily skin, first thing to be done is to get rid of the excess sebum on your face, without total drying out your skin. Do not wash your face frequently. Too much washing and degreasing can actually worsen the things as stripping your skin of oil, which will cause your oil glands to work overtime in generating more sebum.

Cleaning the skin with a very mild detergent or surfactant is the correct and balanced method of washing. It should not contain oils or other “fatty” substances that can increase the oily condition you already have.

This kind of product removes the greasy feel of too much sebum and cleans away the surface dirt that has accumulated because of the oil.
Oily Skin Care Products

Some oily skin care products contain small amounts of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA). AHA exposes a fresher layer of skin by gently removing the dead cells from the surface.
Avoid the stronger alcohol-based products and use a mild astringent or toner everyday to clear off extra oils on your face.

Clogging

Cleanse at least two times a day to prevent clogging, but do not scrub hard, as you will hurt your skin more rather than helping it. A slender pressure from your fingers is friction enough to remove the dull, dead skin.

Oily Skin Care - Moisturizing

Moisturizing need not be done everyday for oily skin. But apply a light, oil-free moisturizer, if you face feels tight due to cleanser and toner use. Avoid products that contain substances as mineral oils and cocoa butter as they are too emollient for your skin condition.

Oily Skin Care – Make Up

When we want to have makeup, choose oil-free products, particularly for your foundation and blush. Go for water-based and non-comedogenic products that will not block your pores. Some foundation products are designed to absorbing oil, which can control the shiny look during the day.

Oily Skin Care – Sunscreen Lotions

Even it is an oily skin or ant other skin type, do not forget to apply sunscreen. There are many types of sunscreen lotions available in the market, and gel is becoming a popular choice since it is less greasy than conventional sun block lotions. The sunscreen lotion to be effective should be SPF 15.

Oily skin Care - Diet

Oily skin will worsened with refined starches, sugar, and processed foods. Choose food that is low in fat and eat more fresh fruits, vegetables, and grains. Drinking lots of fluids of water, juice or teas maintains good skin tone. Keep your vitamin and mineral intake up especially with vitamins A, C and B complex

About Dry Skin

Climate can be one of the worst enemies for a dry skin, especially during the winter season. Effective dry skin care and treatment are way to keeping your skin younger-looking, supple and full of moisture.

The reason of putting yourself to an efficient dry skin care regime is to minimize the incorrect habits of skin treatment and the factors that injure the skin and causes irreversible damage.

Xerosis

xerosis is the word used to describe dry skin by dermatologists. In more severe cases, skin moisture is nearly not present thereby resulting to characteristic scaling, cracking and itching called pruritus.

Lack of skin moisture is the reason for these conditions. The skin needs a relative amount of moisture to maintain smooth or suppleness, flexibility and protection.

The harmful UV rays get into the skin easily and travel all the way down the delicate subcutaneous tissue and subsequently make you skin vulnerable to damage, if the skin is a not sufficiently moisturized.

Causes Of Dry Skin

It is important to identify the many factors, which results to the unwanted condition, in order to avoid the many activities that jeopardize your skin’s health.

Avoid Using Soaps with Harsh IngredientsDry skin is dehydrated wit regular soaps such as anti-bacterial and deodorant soaps, which are non-moisturizing and rob your integument with essential oils, which locks moisture from your body.

Using products containing alcohols also dissolves the skin lipids. This result in evaporation of moisturize, which indeed cause the skin’s moisture to evaporate resulting to skin dryness. Water and oil-based products are perfect for your skin. Use Dove, Olay and other soap substitutes available at your local drugstore.

Weather

One of the factors that are responsible for developing dry skin is winter. In most cases, the problem of the effect of the climate can be solved with the use of humidifier. It balances the insufficient humidity needed for the skin moisture preservation.

Washing with Hot Water

Although one of the efficient moisturizing agents is water, it also strips your skin with valuable oils or lipids, which are responsible for retaining moisture from your skin.

Frequent Washinglimit

your bathing time within 15 minutes. Frequent washing and bathing, usually more than once a day depletes your body with moisture and natural oils.

Frequent Bathing

The valuable oils will be removed and your skin will get exposed to infections by destroying your body’s first main line of defense with frequent bathing, especially with hot water.

Once this is lost, your dry skin will become more prone to organic attacks by pathogens and sometimes cause permanent damage to your skin. Replace the hot water with lukewarm water to lessen the effect of skin dryness, if you are used to bathing with hot water and cannot resist the temptation.

Patients under medication

Medication removes water from a patient’s body because the kidney will less likely reabsorb the water filtered through it. In this case, frequent intake of water is needed.

Genetic Disease

Dry skin, is developed by the people who are afflicted with a rare genetic disease called ichthyosis. This genetic disease has no cure and the goal of skin care treatment is to secure the symptoms that manifest along the way.

Dry Skin Treatment

One way to maintain that youthful glow is to subscribe to a skin treatment regimen. This skin treatment regimen will help your dry skin restore moisture when it’s needed.

Bacterial and fungal infections are the most common reasons for dry skin, which do not go away until proper prescription drug treatment is administered. But in reasons not tied up above, products available in the market will help you achieve that goal and maintain a skin that is envied by everyone.

* Balanced-diet and exercise cause your skin to produce more oil and maintain a relative amount of oil that keeps moisture in your skin. Drinking plenty of water is also important.

* Effective moisturizers are dependent on your immediate and long-term needs. If you want to relieve itching caused by dry skin, ordinary moisturizers will serve your purpose.

Humectants such as lotions containing glycerin, propylene glycol promotes moisture retention and allantoin and urea are effective for promoting healing and stripping damaged cells on top of the skin.

* Alpha hydroxyacid lotions are best for dry skin. Oil-based are more effective than water based lotions for they “lock-in” the moisture stored in the skin.Barrier creams are effective for people who are in a habit of washing their hands frequently. For individuals with advanced dry skin condition (pruritus), anti-pruritic agents such as oatmeal and tar-based pine oil are beneficial.
